Sophomore Antonia Antes had 19 kills and seven aces Tuesday night, leading SBCC to a 3-1 women’s volleyball triumph at Santa Monica.
The scores were 24-26, 25-22, 25-16, 25-20.
Allyson Porter contributed 17 kills and nine digs for the Vaqueros, who improved to 4-3. Piper Obradovich had 17 digs and Hillary Tomas added 13.
“The first set was back and forth, then our passing got much better and our defense was organized in the last three sets,” said SBCC coach Ed Gover. “We didn’t make as many unforced errors.“
The Vaqueros will play in the Fullerton Quad on Saturday against Fullerton (11 a.m.) and Golden West (3 p.m.).
