Nick Clark and Alex Biedul finished the summer youth tournaments at East Beach on a high note by winning their second straight event on Tuesday.
The Santa Barbara High duo defeated Jacob Delson of Westlake Village and Bradley Sakaida of Oak Park for the Boys 18s title in the final California Beach Volleyball Association youth tournament of the season.
Dons teammates Clifford Anderson and Daniel Hedden took third along with Mac Tackett and Danny Reilly of Camarillo.
The Thousand Oaks team of Jonah Seif and Ian Parsons won the Boys 16s title over Oxnard’s Evan Yoshimoto and Owen Yoshimoto. Santa Barbara’s Gavin Trudeau and Vince Velasco shared first place with Oliver Martin of Woodland HIlls and Jennings Franciskovic of Calabasas.
Local players Baker Johnson and Nathan Holmes defeated Kip Lawrence and Austin Hudgens in the Boys 14s final. Kyle Skinner and Matt Ramsey finished third.
The entry of Niko Forbes of Manhattan Beach and Tanner Woods of Huntington Beach won the Boys 12s title.
Goleta’s Amanda Moriarty and Jordan Roberts captured first place in the Girls 18s division by beating Justyn St. Charles of San Fernando and Kyra Hill of Chatsworth in the title match. The third-place teams were Nicole Pompilio and Michelle Valovcin of Camarillo and Drew Kohl and Mia Rand of Chatsworth.
Bella Taron combined with Marina Boulanger to take the Girls 16s title. They defeated Camarillo’s Danielle Helland and Noelle Berry in the final. Local team Emma Craine-Emily Lunt tied for third with Danielle Diaz-Andrea Velasco of La Habra and Whittier.
Valley girls Ariana Homayun of West Hills and Isabella Bress defeated Santa Barbara’s Sara Scarminach and Sydney Reigert for the Girls 14s crown. Natalie Klapp of Goleta and McKenna Goss of Santa Barbara shared third place with Alexis Rottman of Montecito and Paige Mascari of Santa Barbara.
Finally, the Girls 12s division was won by Presley Forbes of Manhattan Beach and Skylar Morgan of Hermosa Beach. Locals Chloe Allen and Malia Morales placed second and third went to Haley Michaelson-Lexi Michaelson of San Pedro and Kobie Jimenez-Samantha Slater of Ventura.
The weekly youth tournaments were run by Santa Barbara High boys volleyball coach Chad Arneson.
