The AYSO season is starting up and the UCSB soccer teams are doing their part to get the players and coaches prepared.
UCSB men’s and women’s teams will be on hand Saturday at Girsh Park for AYSO Skills Day. The free event runs from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Gaucho players will participate in skills training and autograph sessions with the AYSO players, and the UCSB coaches will run coaching clinics. There will also be several other fun activities and promotional giveaways.
UCSB Athletics will be selling soccer season tickets at the event as well as offering discounted tickets to the Gaucho men’s match against Cal State Northridge on Oct. 23, which will serve as the annual AYSO Banner Night.
?Additionally, UCSB will be selling GKids memberships and accepting sign-ups for youth players to serve as ball kids at UCSB games and to play in halftime contests.
