The So Cal Stealth dominated the competition in winning the Southern California North Pony-13 section title on Monday.
The Stealth defeated Quartz Hill 6-2 to complete a 5-0 record at the tournament in Newbury Park. The team outscored its opponents 50-7 and outhit them 56-24,
Offensively, the Stealth were led by Nolan Tooley who was 9-14 with four doubles and seven RBIs, Trevor Moropolous who was 7-14 with three doubles, and Jacob Pritchard who was 8-14 with three doubles and eight runs scored. Aidan Williams and Cole Atelian each hit home runs in the tournament.
On the mound the Stealth showed off their depth with four different pitchers picking up wins including Williams who won two games in two starts including a win in the championship game in which he struck out five and scattered six hits.
By winning the section title, the Stealth advance to the Southern California North Pony-13 region tournament in Simi Valley beginning on Thursday. In their first game of pool play the Stealth face the host team Simi Valley A .
The Stealth are Cole Atelian, Daniel Buratto, R.J. Cordeiro, Nathan Kim, Trevor Moropolous, Jacob Pritchard, Parker Rozenburg, Dalton Schroeder, Dylan Tarpening, Patrick Thomas, Nolan Tooley, Davis Valles, Johnny Weger and Aidan Williams. The team is managed by Troy Pritchard and coached by Brian Cordeiro and Steve Cummings.
