Two quarterbacks who combined for more than 2,000 yards passing and 21 touchdowns this past season lead the North squad for the annual County All-Star Football game.
The game, sponsored by the Suburban Kiwanis Club, and featuring many of the top graduated seniors in the county, is on Friday, July 16 at Santa Maria High. Kickoff is 7:30 p.m.
Ticket for the game are $10 for adults and $5 for kids 12-under.
TJ Jordan of Righetti was a big reason the Warriors won their first outright league championship since the 1980s. The All-Pac 7 QB passed for 1,370 yards and eight touchdowns.
Nick Rucobo was a double threat behind the center at Pioneer Valley. He passed for 755 yards and 13 scores and rushed for 583 yards and six touchdowns to lead the Panthers to their fourth straight playoff appearance.
The North quarterbacks will have a big offensive line to protect them, led by All-CIF selection Keith Bendixen (6-3, 270) of St. Joseph.
Two other North players earned all-CIF honors: Righetti linebacker Cody Barry and St. Joseph kicker Garret Dudock. He made six field goals and scored 68 points for the Knights, who advanced to the CIF Northwest Division semifinals.

All-CIF running back and County Player of the Year K.J. Cusack of St. Joseph is not playing in the game. He’s on scholarship at Cal Poly.
The North is being coached by Mike Regan of Santa Maria High. His players come from Cabrillo, Lompoc, Righetti, St. Joseph, Pioneer Valley, Santa Maria and Valley Christian Academy.
