Santa Barbara Pony Baseball’s 14-under Red All-Stars let the opener in the sectional tournament get away from them as East Valley scored 10 runs in the sixth inning to win 15-5 at Newbury Park Thursday.
Santa Barbara scored first in the game when Bronson Lentini drove in Mario Aguilar in the first inning.
East Valley stormed ahead 6-1, but Santa Barbara cut the lead to win with four runs in the sixth. Skyler Sabado, Michael Day, Lentini and Jack Damen had the RBIs.
East Valley then put the game out of reach with its big inning.
Santa Barbara is back in action on Saturday.
