The big inning hurt the Santa Barbara Pony Baseball Red 14-under All-Stars.
Trailing 4-3 after three innings, Santa Barbara gave up four homers and two ground-rule doubles in the fourth and fifth and fell 16-4 to Hart-A in the sectional tournament in windy Newbury Park on Saturday.
The Red All-Stars took a 2-1 lead in the first when Gabe Grandcolas singled with two outs to score Mario Aguilar and Michael Day.
Aguilar’s sacrifice fly drove in Daniel Davis in the second inning and Santa Barbara got one more run in the fifth on hits by Aguilar, Skyler Sabado and Grandcolas.
Santa Barbara plays its final game Sunday against North Valley.
