Dos Pueblos was roughed up by a long-ball-hitting Moorpark team and suffered a 6-2 loss in the opening game of the Little League 11-12 Section 1 All-Star Tournament in Arroyo Grande.
Moorpark blasted five homers in the game.
Trailing 6-0, DP made some noise in the bottom of the sixth. John Wetzel got on base with a long base hit, Jonathan Sloan and Tim Heiduk both walked to load the bases and Kenny O’Donnell laced a single into right-center to score two runs.
Moorpark stopped the rally and DP dropped into the elimination bracket. It will play again in Monday.
