The Goleta Valley South 10-under All-Stars earned the top-seeding in the District 63 All-Star Tournament after routing Carpinteria Valley 16-0 in their final pool-play game Tuesday at Montalvo Little League.
Pitchers Trey Tank, Colter Nisbet and Kevin Barker combined to blank Carpinteria.
On offense, Isaac Oh, Evan Kling and Nisbet all hit doubles. Every Goleta Valley South player reached base in the game.
Defensively, Oh had the highlight of the night by turning a double play. He fielded a grounder at shortstop, tagged second for the force out and fired to first base to complete the play.
The District 63 double-elimination tournament begins Saturday.
