Dos Pueblos continued its winning ways in the District 63 Little League 9-10 All-Stars Pool Play Tournament by beating Santa Paula 13-5 on Friday.
Santa Paula jumped out to an early 3-0 lead, but Dos Pueblos responded with five runs in the bottom of the second and six more in the bottom of the third. DP (3-0 in the tournament) sent nine players to the plate in each of those innings.
In the second, DP loaded the bases with two walks and an infield hit by Sam McGolpin. Will Yamasaki was hit by a pitch and that was followed by three straight singles by Davey Demeter, Isaac Coffey and Nicholas Baker.
In the third inning, DP got RBI hits from Yamasaki, Demeter, and Baker.
Santa Paula managed to score two unearned runs in the fourth inning and another in the sixth.
Dos Pueblos plays its next game against Saticoy National (3-0) on Wednesday, July 7 at Girsh Park.
