In a tense pitching duel, the Dos Pueblos Little League 11-12 All-Stars lost 1-0 to Fillmore in a District 63 pool-play tournament game Tuesday at Ventura Coastal.
Travis Craven pitched a one-hitter for DP, but Fillmore’s got an unearned run off him in the bottom of the first inning and pitcher Albert Cantero made it stand up.
Cantero gave up hits to Peter Appel, Peter Trapp and Dustin Demeter, but the Fillmore ace kept Dos Pueblos from converting them into runs.
DP faces Carpinteria Valley on Wednesday needing a win to have a chance to advance to the double-elimination championship round.
