Goleta’s 12U Thunder went undefeated for the second weekend in a row to claim back to back tournament titles.
They won five straight in Arroyo Grande to win the Five Cities championship on the weekend of June 19 and then went undefeated this past weekend to win the Santa Maria Qualifier Tournament.

The bats really came alive in the last tournament with a combined team batting average close to .400. Catcher Alexis Catalan and shortstop Samantha Sanders provided most of that firepower by each hitting above .600 for the tournament. The Thunder have been led all season by stellar pitching from Lani Evans, Madison Buie and Adyson Willett.
Winning the Santa Maria tournament qualifies the Thunder for the ASA 12U Western National Girls Class B Fast Pitch Tournament in Las Cruces, New Mexico August 2-8. The Western Nationals will consist of around 60 of the best teams from across the Western United States.
