The success of the free World Cup soccer broadcasts at the Arlington Theater has prompted the theater to add another game for fans to see on the big movie screen.
Monday’s Round of 16 match between Brazil and Chile will be shown live at 11:30 a.m. at the historic theater on State Street. A theater employee announced the latest showing during halftime of Sunday’s Argentina vs. Mexico match.
That match drew nearly 800 predominantly Mexican fans.
After Monday, the next scheduled match to be shown at the theater is the World Cup final on July 11. But a theater employee said a quarterfinal or semifinal match might be added. Check with the theater.
