Frontier League-champion Nordhoff showed Carpinteria’s softball team a thing or two on Tuesday, spanking the Warriors 10-0 in a game that was stopped after five innings.
“We just did not have the focus and effort that we would like,” said Warriors head coach Henry Gonzalez. “We’re young, we’re learning how to respond in tough games.”
Ashley Pulido was in command for the Rangers, striking out 10 batters and allowing only three hits to Myriah Diaz, Tatiana Verdugo and Emily Hernandez.
The Warriors, still fighting for a playoff spot, face Malibu on Thursday in their regular season finale.
