No. 1 Mira Costa proved too tall an order for the Santa Barbara High boys volleyball team on Friday night as the Dons were swept 25-17, 25-17, 25-19.
The top-ranked Mustangs celebrated Senior Night, recognizing 14 seniors.
“It was a valiant effort tonight,” said Dons head coach Chad Arneson. “It was definitely a good test going into playoffs. We know what we need to work on.”
Arneson said he had strong contributions from Clifford Anderson, Gavin Trudeau and Alec Smyth.
“We’re looking forward to playoffs,” added Arneson. “We’ll be ready to go and hungry.”
The Dons finish their regular season with a 15-4 overall record. Playoff pairings will be released on Sunday.
