Santa Barbara’s proposed inaugural Downtown Spring Criterium, originally scheduled for May 22, has been cancelled according to race promoter, Armando Requejo.
Requejo announced on SoCalReg.com that the race would no longer take place citing issues the police had with possible traffic implications.
The event was set to have races around Alameda and Alice Keck park from 8 a.m until around 4:30 p.m. With ten races planned, a large crowd was expected.
All entries sent to SoCalReg.com will be refunded. Check the website for more details.
