Just a day after suffering a big upset at the hands of Santa Barbara High, the Dos Pueblos softball team was able to bounce back and defeat visiting San Marcos 4-1 on Tuesday.
Hannah Harris went 2-for-3 and went the distance in the pitcher’s circle, while Alex McKernan also reached base twice and had a double for the Chargers (10-14, 6-5 Channel League). DP will finish second in the Channel League if Buena beats Ventura on Friday and the Chargers defeat San Marcos.
“This was extremely important for our confidence,” said coach Donn Roberts. “San Marcos played tough today.”
The Chargers play Hueneme in the final game of the Pacific View Tournament on Wednesday.
