The Bishop Diego swim team swam at Fillmore High School for the Division IV League prelims on Wednesday and got a pair of wins from senior Shannon Slaught.
Slaught swam her best time in the 50 freestyle to win the race and also won the 100 breaststroke. The team’s other swimmer, freshman Joshua Chevez, also swam the 50 breast, swimming his best time and qualifiying 9th for Friday’s finals. He then swam the 100 breast, again putting up his best time ever and qualifed 6th for the finals.
