Michael Yi earned medalist honors for the second consecutive match with a round of one-under 70 as the Dos Pueblos golf team had five rounds in the 70s, defeating Ventura 373-384 at Glen Annie Golf Course on Thursday.
Despite the Cougars’ respectable scoring, they are 0-5 in Channel League play.
“I feel bad. They’re really good and they haven’t won a league match because our league is ridiculous,” said DP coach Rob Schiff.
Carson Curtis shot a 72 for the Chargers, who have Santa Barbara, Buena and San Marcos on tap for next week.
