Warriors pile 17 runs on Eagles

Carpinteria’s baseball team blew up Oak Park for 17 runs in their Tri-Valley League contest on Friday, taking home a 17-7 victory.

Zach Boberg had a big hand in the Warriors’ offensive success, going 2-for-3 with a double, triple, five RBIs and three runs scored. Jose Carrillo crossed the plate twice and added an RBI.

Colton Rubio was the winner on the mound, making it one out short of a complete game.

Carpinteria ups its record to 9-5 and evens its league record at 3-3. The Eagles are at 1-3 in league and 5-10 overall.

Up next for the Warriors is a two-game series with Bishop Diego that starts on Tuesday at Bishop Diego.
