Five errors cost Cate’s baseball team on Saturday as the Rams fell 8-6 to visiting Valley Christian.
“The bottom line is we had more errors than hits and you’re not going to win many games doing that,” said Rams head coach Ben Soto, whose squad holds a 5-3 record.
Kirk Seaman and Robert Fairbanks ripped doubles in the game, with Fairbanks’ driving in two runs.
Cate looks ahead to two crucial league games in the upcoming week against Dunn on Wednesday and Thacher on Saturday.
