Three former UCSB soccer teammates have rejoined forces as professional players in Rochester, N.Y.
Midfielders Tyler Rosenlund and Alfonso Motagalvan and forward Tino Nunez all played for the Rochester Rhinos in their opener Saturday against Miami in the United States Soccer Federation’s D2 Pro League.
The match ended in a 1-1 tie with Rosenlund assisting on Rochester’s goal. Rosenlund and Motagalvan started the match while Nunez came on as a substitute in the 80th minute.
Nunez was recently signed by the Rhinos after playing last season with Real Salt Lake of Major League Soccer.
