Ventura’s Courtnie Snyder was elusive on Friday afternoon at Santa Barbara High, sitting down 13 Dons on strikes to lead the Cougars to a 10-1 Channel League victory.

Snyder limited Santa Barbara to just two hits in seven innings. The only time the Dons were able to get to Snyder came in the fourth inning when Talia Quevedo connected for a double to score Rebecca Nielsen-Robbins.
Neilsen-Robbins recorded eight strikeouts for Santa Barbara (2-15, 1-8), which has three league games remaining on it schedule. Ventura (10-12, 4-4) moves on to play league-leading Buena twice next week.
