SBCC’s Amy Sagraves and Meghan Schaefer cruised into the Round of 16 on Thursday in the Southern Cal Regional women’s tennis tournament at Long Beach City College. Sagraves-Schaefer dropped just two games in a 6-2, 6-0 doubles victory over Nicole Delgado-Cyd Dionson of Cerritos.
The Vaquero tandem of Anna Slyutova-Terea Tapu fell to Erika Kagawa-Clara Kearney of Saddleback 6-2, 6-2 in the Round of 32.
In singles, Sagraves lost to Madeline Hovarter of Fullerton 6-3, 6-2 in the Round of 32 and Shaefer was eliminated by Brooke McBride of Palomar 6-1, 6-0.
