The San Marcos girls swimming team had a successful weekend at the Mt. SAC Invitational, recording over 20 personal bests and finishing 11th overall.
Varsity scorers included Emily Wheeler, who took 22nd in the 100 butterfly with a personal-best mark of 1:05.70. Shannon Orr was 35th in the same race. Jade Wentz Fitzgerald took 17th in the 50 freestyle an 17th in the 100 free, while Flo Chardon was 15th and 12th in the same races, respectively. Sara Thwing was 27th in the 50 free and Zoe Kirker was 26th in the 200 free.
The 200 free relay squad finished in eighth place with a CIF consideration time of 1:47.17. The 400 free relay took 12th and the 200 medley relay squad was 15th.
The Royals swim at DP in Thursday.
