Cate’s boys lacrosse team didn’t miss a beat playing without several starters on Wednesday, striking down visiting Watsonville 9-5.
Freshman Wes Greason had a breakout game for the Rams, scoring four goals while adding an assist. Cate head coach Steve O’Neill credited Randy Person with controlling the midfield for Cate, which improves to 3-1 on the season.
Jack Langan and Luke Shover were standouts on defense, according to O’Neill, doing a good job of picking up loose balls and connecting with their attackers.
Cate plays again next Wednesday at Malibu.
