Cate’s boys tennis team won its fifth straight match on Saturday, eliminating Pasadena Poly 11-7.
Cam Seo swept his three sets and set the tone by defeating Pasadena’s No. 1 singles player 6-0 in his first set. Cate’s doubles team of Mark Mullan and Rohit Goswamy dominated their three sets, winning 6-1, 6-0, 6-0.
The Rams, ranked No. 10 in Division IV, have upped their record to 5-3 after starting the season 0-3.
One of those losses was to Dos Pueblos, one of the top teams in Division I. Cate’s win streak will be on the line on Wednesday when those same Chargers travel to the Mesa.
