Anthony Pell earned medalist honors with a round of 86 at Rancho San Marcos on Tuesday as the Bishop Diego boys golf team defeated visiting Carpinteria 476-583. Jun Huh followed close behind with an 88. Carpinteria was led by Alex Warner’s 103.
“We should be ready as we head into the teeth of our league schedule,” said Bishop coach Marty Herrera. “I was impressed with the improvement of the Carpinteria team. Although they are very young Coach Benzin has them headed in the right direction.”
Bishop improves to 7-3 and hosts the second Frontier League Tournament at Rancho San Marcos on Thursday.
