Santa Barbara High’s Tyler Parent posted personal best marks in five of ten events on Thursday and Friday at the Arcadia Invitational, bumping him up to fifth place overall in the decathlon.
Parent recorded PRs in the discus, javelin, pole vault and the 400-meter and 1500-meter runs to reach a personal best score of 6170.
Dos Pueblos’ Tim Park placed 13th.
The rest of the Dons and Chargers will be at Saturday’s Dos Pueblos Invitational.
