Tino Nuñez, a forward on UCSB’s 2006 national championship team, scored two goals and assisted on another to lead the Rochester Rhinos to a 3-0 win over the NSC Minnesota Stars on Wednesday night in a USSF Division 2 Pro League match in Blaine, Minn.
Nuñez, who played two seasons for Real Salt Lake in Major League Soccer before being signed by Rochester earlier this month, assisted on the first goal in the 25th minute and scored in the 29th and 51st minutes. His second goal was assisted by his former Gaucho teammate, Alfonso Motagalvan.
Ex-Gaucho Tyler Rosenlund also plays for Rochester.
