Dos Pueblos pulls out sweep of Royal

Dos Pueblos made Royal feel common on Wednesday, sending the visitors home with a 25-14, 25-23, 25-13 non-league loss.

The Chargers picked up their 10th win of the season against five losses. It was Dos Pueblos’ first match in two weeks because of spring break and the Chargers play again on Tuesday at San Marcos.

Dos Pueblos was led by Will McCracken’s seven kills, four blocks, six digs and two aces. Jay Larinan tallied six kills and Gabe Duncan four without many errors from either. Libero Cole Arutian carried the defense with his team-high 11 digs.

“It was a nice match to come back from spring break on,” said DP’s head coach Chris Hughes.
