Briggs Deardorff won the 1600 and 3200 meter races on Thursday while Tyler Parent won the discus, but the Santa Barbara High track team couldn’t keep up with Buena in the Dons’ home meet, which was held at Buena. The Bulldog boys prevailed 93-34, while the Buena girls won 100-27.
Parent also took second in the shot and third in the 400, while junior Chris Robinson won the 400. Robert Palmer, just back from a shoulder injury he suffered during wrestling season, won the 110 hurdles and took third in the high jump.
On the girls side, Brittany Couture won the 400 and also ran a leg of the winning 4×400 relay squad. Becca Vail won the 100 and took second in the 200.
