Santa Barbara went 3-0 during the week and outscored its opponents 28-9. The Dons avenged their only loss of the season on Tuesday by defeating crosstown rival San Marcos before doing it again, albeit by a smaller margin, on Friday. Santa Barbara then won its second game in the Chatsworth Tournament on Saturday by beating L.A. City Section school Cleveland 10-1.
The Dons play Channel League foe Dos Pueblos twice this week before returning to Chatsworth Tournament play on Saturday against Granada Hills. Santa Barbara is scheduled to face tournament-host Chatsworth, No. 13 in the L.A. Times’ poll, on May 1.
