Santa Barbara High’s baseball team took three steps forward last week but a big step back in this week’s CIF rankings, dropping from No. 4 to No. 7 despite a 3-0 week.
The Dons (15-1-1) are the seventh ranked team in Division II.
Santa Barbara High’s boys tennis team moved up in the polls, taking over the No. 2 spot in Division I. The rankings set up a Wednesday match with University that is now a clash of the Division’s No. 1 and No. 2 teams.
Ventura, No. 6, and Dos Pueblos, tied for No. 10, make it three Channel League schools in the top-10.
Cate’s boys tennis team remains at No. 7 in Division IV.
