Dos Pueblos’ boys tennis team beat San Marcos at its own game on Tuesday, winning 6-of-9 doubles sets to take the Condor League matchup 14-4.
The Chargers moved top singles player Sasha Gryaznov into the doubles lineup, where he won three sets with two different partners. Andy Silverstein and Eric Katz also swept their three sets, although two of the wins came by a single break.

Dos Pueblos’ singles lineup was still strong enough to score for the Chargers, as starters Austin Cano, Richard Cheng and Christian Edstrom went a combined 7-0.
San Marcos’ Petar Jivkov took the Royals’ lone singles set and almost got more but lost two sets 5-7.
“The match score does not indicate how tough the match was,” said Chargers head coach Liz Frech.
Both teams are now 3-4 in league heading into Thursday’s Channel League finales. The Chargers meet the league-leading Dons while San Marcos takes on Ventura.
