Hannah Harris struck out six Buena batters on Wednesday, allowing just two earned runs and a walk, but the Dos Pueblos softball team fell to the host Bulldogs 7-3. The loss keeps Buena undefeated in the Channel League at 7-0, while also ensuring that DP will not finish in first place.
“I think Buena just wanted it a little bit more,” said coach Donn Roberts. “We play them at our place Friday, so if we win that we’ll lock up second place and go to CIF. As long as we get into CIF we’re good.”
Jordan Roberts had a double and Agnetta Cleland reached base three times for the Chargers (9-12, 5-3).
