Dos Pueblos’ boys tennis team got stronger as the day got older on Monday, sweeping Arroyo Grande in the match’s final round to claim a 14-4 non-league victory over the visiting Eagles.
Sasha Gryaznov swept his three sets as the Chargers’ No. 1 singles player to lead DP to a 6-3 record in singles.
The doubles duos of Andy Silverstein-Eric Katz and Christian Edstrom-Malcolm Sutton also swept in their sets to lead a doubles charge that won 8-of-9 sets.
It’s Dos Pueblos’ 10th win of the season while the Eagles, No. 9 in CIF Division II, fall to 9-3. Eli Whittle was Arroyo Grande’s most disruptive force, taking two of his three sets in singles.
The Chargers move on to host No. 7 Ventura on Thursday in a critical Channel League clash.
