After Thursday’s gut-wrenching match against Ventura, Friday’s 14-4 non-league victory over Santa Ynez must have felt like a walk in the park for Dos Pueblos’ boys tennis team.
The Chargers took 8-of-9 doubles sets and Christian Edstrom was able to sweep his three sets on the singles side.
Dos Pueblos, the No. 10 team in CIF Division I, improves to 11-5 overall while the Pirates, ranked No. 3 in Division IV, loses for only the second time this season and is 12-2.
Channel League-leading Santa Barbara is next on the Chargers’ schedule with Tuesday’s match beginning at 3 p.m. on the Dons’ courts.
