Freshman middle blocker Stu Engs had eight kills and Joe Gottwald added six, but the Cate boys volleyball team was swept at Pasadena Poly on hursday, 25-19, 25-13, 25-12.
“We had a long ride down there and everybody looked kind of sleepy. We just came out pretty flat and they were a good team,” said coach Dan Terry.
The teams were neck-and-neck in the first set before the Rams (3-2) faded away. Cate plays at Channel Islands on Friday.
