Carpinteria’s softball team suffered a pair of letdowns against visiting Nipomo on Saturday, losing leads in both episodes of the double header to lose 5-3 and 8-5.
The Warriors (8-6) were up 3-0 in the first game and 5-2 in the second game. Myriah Diaz homered in the second game, while Tatiana Verdugo and Roxanne Hugo had triples.
Carpinteria gets a great chance to bounce back when it plays at Bishop Diego on Monday.
