Cardinals in title hunt with third-place

Bishop Diego’s third-place finish at Thursday’s Frontier League Meet No. 3 keeps the Cardinals in the hunt for a league title.

The Cardinals’ team score of 442 was 10 strokes behind Grace Brethren and four back of Nordhoff. Bishop Diego (16-5) will be looking to move in to the top two in next week’s league meet, also to be played at Soule Park in Ojai.

Grace Brethren’s Cameron Dishman and Nordhoff’s Rocky Hall carded the day’s lowest round to share medalist honors with matching 80s.

Bishop Diego was balanced as all five scores were within eight strokes of each other. Jun Huh’s 84 ended as the Cardinals’ best round followed by Anthony Pell’s 86.
