Cardinals caught by Nordhoff upper-cut

Tuesday’s Frontier League opener didn’t go quite the way Bishop Diego’s softball team wanted it to as Nordhoff came away with a 11-0 victory.

The Cardinals (8-7, 0-1) will get another chance to pick up that first league win on Thursday at Malibu.

“We’re going to try to shake off the cob webs of spring break and come out and have a good match on Thursday,” said Cardinals head coach Tom Beamer.

Ashley Pulido picked up the win in the pitcher’s circle for Nordhoff, which improves to 8-7, 1-0.
