Johnny Brand had 11 kills but the Bishop Diego boys volleyball team struggled defensively on Wednesday in a 26-24, 25-21, 25-19 loss at St. Joseph.
Robert Connolly added six kills with three digs and three aces while Spencer Shull added five kills.
“We still have a lot to learn as far as defense goes,” said coach Joe Reiken. “We’re getting the job done offensively but we didn’t cover the floor at all tonight.
Next up for the Cardinals (1-6, 1-3 TVL) is a matchup at Fillmore.
