Tri-Valley meet at Montecito extra tight

Carpinteria’s boys golf team was fifth-best at the Tri-Valley League meet on Thursday, hosted by the Warriors at Montecito Country Club.

St. Bonaventure, Malibu and Oak Park went 1-2-3 as close as could be. The Seraphs’ 425 barely edged Malibu’s 426 and Oak Park’s 427.

Malibu’s Bardovi and Taylor Stein shared medalist honors with rounds of 75. Oaks Christian’s Jackson Sullivan drained a hole-in-one on a 108-yard par three.

Joey Biro’s 105 was Carpinteria’s low score while Alex Warner and Nick Moore dipped under 110 at 109.
