Montecito Country Club hosted a three-way meet on Monday, bringing together the Carpinteria, Bishop Diego and San Luis Obispo on a beautiful day that seemed to officially announce that spring is here.
The Tigers’ Joseph Zakaria carded the day’s lowest round for medalist honors, leading SLO to the team victory as well. The Tigers posted a 394 to the Cardinals’ 470 and the Warriors’ 584.
Bishop’s Jun Huh put together the Cardinals’ strongest round, finishing at 85. Scott Grimes also broke 90 with an 89.
Alex Warner recorded Carpinteria’s best score at 105. The Warriors, made up entirely of freshmen and sophomores, improved on their season-opening score by 15 strokes thanks to Max Vincent(112), Joey Biro(120), Justin Sinclair(122) and Nick Moore(125).
