Sophomore Tatiana Verdugo took a no-hitter into the seventh inning on Wednesday as the Carpinteria softball team defeated Hueneme 2-0. Fellow Dakotah Wilcox knocked in both of the Warriors’ runs on a triple in the first inning.
Coach Henry Gonzales added that freshman Sarah Carrillo had a nice day defensively at the shortstop position.
