Royals level Braves, 17-1

San Marcos doubles teams were perfect on Thursday, making it two straight matches to start the season as the Royals conquered Lompoc 17-1.

The Royals have a doubles record of 18-0 and have won 72 of 90 games in the process. Jackson Foster-Parker Funk and Jacob Coffey-Garrett Hazarian went the distance and swept their three sets.

Garrett Timmons, normally a double player, swept three sets in singles. Travis Enholm and Nik Kilpelainen won two sets before giving way to reserves.  Evan Lincoln came on, winning his first varsity set 7-5.

San Marcos (2-0) travels to San Luis Obispo on Monday.
