Rio Mesa stung Laguna Blanca on Thursday, hurting the Owls in a 25-18, 27-25, 25-19 sweep at Merovick Gym.
It was the Owls’ last match until April 13. They enter their break with a 4-2 record.
Pascal Karam led the Owls with six kills and added three digs. Ryan Ortiz filled the stat sheet, recording four kills, one block, four digs and an ace while Jack Stegall tallied five kills and four digs.
“They had a better transition game,” said Owls head coach Bob Sanchez. “Kudos to them.”
