Righetti doesn’t wait to get it done

Dos Pueblos struggled to keep Righetti off the scoreboard in the early innings on Thursday, and were unable to come all the way back in a 6-3 non-league loss to the Warrrios.

Righetti scored all six of its runs in the first four innings, all off Chargers starter Bradley Tirador. Gabe Speier replaced Tirador in the fifth inning and closed out the game with two near-perfect innings.

Matt McClenathen gave DP its first run on a solo home run in the second inning. Steven Reveles and Jesus Salas scored the other two runs and both had a pair of hits.

“Hopefully we come ready to play on Tuesday against Paso Robles to finish off the tourrnament with a winning record,” said Dos Pueblos head coach Nate Mendoza. “It’s important to get that win going into league.”
