Kelsey O’Brien and Karl Boscacci were both double-winners in individual events and also won relays on Tuesday, but the Santa Barbara High swimming teams came up short at Westlake.
The boys lost 101-67. Boscacci won the 200 IM and 100 backstroke and earned CIF consideration times in the 200 and 400 freestyle relays. Sam Foley joined him on those relay wins and also won the 100 freestyle.
O’Brien, a freshman, won the 100 and 200 freestyle with CIF consideration times while classmate Sophie Trabucco took the 500 freestyle in a personal-best time. Both swam with Samantha King and Maddie Trabucco on the winning 400 freestyle relay squad, while Maddie Trabucco was second in the 100 breaststroke and third in the 50 freestyle. The girls team, however, fell 96-74.
